On 19th September 2014, at the Synchronous Manufacturing of Lisemco 2 JSC (An Lao town, Hai Phong City), PVC-MS (PXS – Hose) held the Fisrt Cut ceremony of steel structure for turbine building and main control building package - Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power plant Project.
The Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power plant project is invested by PVN, PVC is the general contractor. PVC-MS - an affiliate of PVC, obtained the award of Contract from PVC and Lilama for the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power plant project, with two contracts value of VND 1100 Billion.
The package which PVC-MS signed with PVC: "Procurement, fabrication and installation of steel structure for turbine house, the central controlling house (E-house) of The Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power plant project, worth VND 950 billion. The package that PVC-MS obtained from Lilama: "Installing turbine system / generator of Power Unit No.2 and other ancillary items", worth about VND 150 billion.
Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant 2, in My Loc commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province has a capacity of 1,200 MW with 2 units, each year about 6.7 billion kwh to provide electricity. General contractor PVC officially started construction project in April 2011, with a total investment capital of more than VND 34.000 billion.
Turbine generator No.1 of Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant 2 is scheduled for commercial operation in the third quarter of 2015, and turbine generator No. 2 will start operation in the early 2016.
Under the plan, on 25th November 2014, PVC- MS will complete processing and manufacturing items and start the erections stage at the plant. PVC-MS will handover all the items to the General Contractors in December 2016.
Giving his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh The, PVC-MS Director emphasized that Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant 2 is a key project of the PVN, is very important in ensuring energy security and contribute to national economic, social development, and economic restructuring in Thai Binh province and the Red River Delta region. Therefore, PVC-MS will try their best to implement the project. Mr. Nguyen Dinh The requested affiliate units of PVC-MS to focus their efforts to implement the project with best safety, high quality, on the schedule, contributing to the success of the company in 2014 and 2015.
At the ceremony, leaders of the involved companies in the project have signed commitment to implement the steel structure for turbine building and main control building project on the schedule, with high quality and absolute safety.
